Katlyn Morahan, Founder and President
Passionate. Energetic. Highly efficient. Katlyn Morahan’s can-do attitude and love for the arts has turned a one-person PR start-up into a blossoming agency of talented professionals, serving over 140 clients in the past eight years.
With a variety of experiences in journalism, marketing, arts education, and public relations, Katlyn has a unique and deep understanding of how to best showcase the talents and attributes of MAM’s clients. She excels at big picture thinking and backs it up with the day-to-day hard work that’s needed to grow her clients’ audiences and careers.
Prior to founding MAM, Katlyn gained a wealth of experience at some of the performing arts world’s most prestigious organizations. At Carnegie Hall, she executed publicity efforts for leading orchestras, ensembles, vocalists, and instrumentalists. Prior to this, Katlyn was the second staff member to join the American Associates of the National Theatre, the US-arm of London’s National Theatre. She has had additional work experiences at financial services communications agency, Cognito, and the Delaware Theatre Company. Katlyn began her career as an NBC TODAY Show intern working on the Citi Concert Series as well as at Broadway PR agency, Barlow-Hartman, working on Lin-Manuel Miranda's Tony Award winning musical In the Heights.
Katlyn holds a Masters degree in Performing Arts Administration from New York University, and undergraduate degrees in Spanish and Broadcast Journalism (S.I. Newhouse School) at Syracuse University. She continues to inspire the next generation of performing artists as a dance instructor at her sister business, Morahan Arts.
Mallory McFarland, Account Director
Mallory McFarland has been connecting communities of artists and audiences internationally through her work for Morahan Arts and Media since its founding. Her impressive wheelhouse includes a wide array of arts communications services, ranging from targeted press and media outreach, social media and Google ad campaigns, digital content strategy and curation, e-newsletter management and creation, annual appeal campaigns, and eye-catching brand design. When time permits, she enjoys streamlining modern websites for artists and organizations.
No stranger to the arts, Mallory began her professional performing arts career as a member of the Metropolitan Opera Children’s Chorus, where she sang in many operas including the North American production premiere of Berlioz’s La damnation de Faust and Verdi’s Macbeth, both of which were broadcast Live In HD and on PBS Great Performances. She also appeared in Wagner’s Das Rheingold with the Kirov Opera. Mallory is a professional dancer and actress who has appeared with Buglisi Dance Theatre and in music videos, independent films, and national television commercials. She has taught children and adults in master classes at Steps on Broadway, the Joffrey Jazz Trainee Program, New York University, and the Horace Mann School, and trained in dance at Steps on Broadway on a full merit scholarship and at The Ailey School. Mallory also played violin in concert at Carnegie Hall’s Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage and received classical training at The School for Strings and The Juilliard School.
Mallory holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chinese Language and Literature with a Minor degree in Writing from the University of Vermont. She additionally studied at Shandong University of Science and Technology in Qingdao, China on a prestigious U.S. Department of State Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship, and is a Professional Member of the Recording Academy.
Amanda Becker, Account Coordinator
Amanda Becker spent the first few years of her blossoming career working with companies that uplift a variety of musicians through marketing and PR services, gaining a youthful and diverse outlook on how to best support all kinds of artists and performing arts organizations.
As a musician herself, Amanda is extremely passionate about the performing arts. Always wanting the arts to be at the forefront of her life, she went on to study music industry and classical voice as well as theater during her undergraduate career. Through her love of music and performing, she was able to find an interest in the creative process and the strategic aspects that go into building platforms and audiences. From working with companies located in London, Los Angeles, and New York City, Amanda has been able to work with a wide range of artists and she is overjoyed to be able to work with the clients at MAM to help them reach their marketing goals.
Amanda holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Industry with Performance Honors in Classical Voice (Setnor School of Music) and a Minor in Theater (Department of Drama) from Syracuse University. Amanda was also recently inducted into the Recording Academy as a Professional Member, Class of 2024.
Leah Rankin, Public Relations Specialist
Public Relations Specialist Leah Rankin is the founder of Batcello PR and a recipient of a 2023 Irish Echo Irish American Arts & Culture Award. With over ten years of experience in the music and media industries and a lifetime of experience in the performing arts, she is passionate about connecting audiences with artists through powerful storytelling in order to create unforgettable experiences.
Before joining MAM, Leah worked as a Public Relations Manager for Carnegie Hall where she secured major news coverage for many of the world’s leading orchestras, soloists, and ensembles. There she gained extensive experience conceptualizing, coordinating, and managing a large variety of projects and events (both live and digital) while developing and enhancing brand awareness through publicity and social media campaigns. She adds to this experience invaluable insight from her own work as a professional musician.
Leah is one of the leading cellists playing traditional Irish music today. She has played alongside some of the most reputable musicians in the Irish music world and has appeared on close to a dozen albums in a variety of genres. Notable live performances include The Ferryman on Broadway, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, the NYC Irish Center, The American Irish Historical Society, NYC Irish American Writers & Artists Salon, NYC Tartan Week, BB King Blues Club, Rockwood Music Hall, Fairport Music Festival, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and all three stages at Carnegie Hall.
Leah has a Master’s Degree in Arts Journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, and Bachelor’s Degrees in English and Music from the University of Rochester where she studied cello performance at the Eastman School of Music.
Ben Youngerman, Social Media Specialist
Social Media Specialist Ben Youngerman joins MAM as an accomplished social media manager, storyteller, and content creator. During his previous role at ArtsQuest, one of Pennsylvania’s largest non-profit arts organizations, Ben managed 40+ different social media accounts across all platforms. During his tenure, social media followers increased by 102% (+192,000 total) and many events, including the 10-day Musikfest, had record attendance. Ben created content & sweepstakes for major sponsors including Yuengling, PNC, Nintendo & Wells Fargo.
Based in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, Ben is also the Founder & Chief Record-Flipper of Molten Metal Media. MMM manages social media accounts for a handful of small businesses, frequently collaborating with musicians and artists in the area. He also moonlights as “Bow Tie Ben,” the on-camera arena host for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms hockey team, affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers.
Ben holds undergraduate degrees in Broadcast Journalism & Political Science from Syracuse University, where he served as school mascot “Otto the Orange.” In his free time, Ben enjoys singing with his band Midsummer, being on the rail at concerts, watching Philly sports, collecting vinyl records, and being an uncle.
